Conditions of Use
InterRail passes are personal and are not transferable.
A pass cannot be purchased by a resident of that country i.e. a German resident cannot buy a German InterRail pass. The pass holder must be able to provide proof of identity when required by railway staff.
InterRail passes are subject to a £3 booking charge per ticket.
Before using the pass, the pass holder must validate it by indelibly inserting the date and month in the relevant box. By validating the box, the pass holder has unlimited travel between 0001 hours and 2359 on that day. However if travelling on a night train departing after 1900 hours which reaches its destination overnight you can validate the pass for the arrival day rather than the departure day - effectively giving you up to 29 hours validity.
InterRail rail passes are valid for travel for the selected number of days within one calendar month.
Seat reservations, couchettes and sleeper charges are not included. Some trains require the payment of a supplement. These include Alfa, Artesia, Ave, Eurostar, S200Pendolino, X2000, EN, Cisalpino, CityNightLine, Lusitania, Myrdal/Flam, Signatur, Talgo. TGV, Teoz, Thalys and Trenhotel services. Please check before boarding your train! Holders of InterRail passes do not pay supplements in Germany on EC, IC and ICE trains.
Supplements are charged on the following trains: Thalys (Paris – Brussels – Cologne), Eurostar (Paris – Brussels – London), and ICE-Sprinter (Germany).
Prices are valid for departures within 60 days from today's date.
Changes to your pass
Changes cannot be made to your InterRail pass. You will need to cancel your pass and purchase a new one.
Cancellations and Refunds
There is no refund permitted after the commencement date on the InterRail pass or on partially used, lost or stolen InterRail passes. All cancellations are subject to a 15% cancellation fee plus a £5.00 per ticket administration fee. If you wish to cancel your ticket you must advise us by calling 0844 482 1010. A refund will not be processed until we have received your InterRail pass. If we do not receive the pass back before the original first date of travel shown on the pass, then you will not be entitled to any refund whatsoever.
Duplicate passes in case of loss or damage cannot be issued under any circumstances.
