DAY 1 - LONDON TO BARCELONA
There's no better way to reach Barcelona than by train! Begin Speed from London to Paris and stop for lunch in the French capital, if you wish. Then, board a comfortable, high speed TGV service straight through to Barcelona. The train journey is a magical one! Make your way down the Rhone Valley, admiring views of the river, chateaux and castles en route. Skirt the coastline of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea after making your way through Montpellier, and whiz through vineyards, and past mountain ranges on your way. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of flamingos, and the impressive Fort des Salses fortress just before Perpignan! On arrival in Barcelona, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. DAY 2 - BARCELONA
Spend the day at leisure in Barcelona! Widely considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, there is so much to see and do in the Catalan capital. Don't miss a trip to Gaudi's ornate Sagrada Familia, a sunny stroll through the colourful mosaics of the Parc Guell or a wander down Las Ramblas - the city's lively neighbourhood overflowing with interesting shops and boutiques. Why not take the cable car up to the top of Montjuic for impressive views over the city, or visit the famed Picasso Museum? Come the evening, a delicious dinner of local tapas is a must! DAY 3 - BARCELONA TO LONDON
Check out of your hotel after breakfast and make your way back to the station. Sit back and relax on board the train to Paris. Why not visit one of Barcelona's local markets to pack a picnic for the train or, of course, make use of the café car on board. On arrival in Paris, change onto a Eurostar back to the UK and continue your journey back to your home station. B
