DAY 1 - LONDON TO MARSEILLES
Catch the train from London to France aboard the Eurostar. Either make use of the direct service or change once in Paris or Lille, perhaps even stopping for a spot of lunch before continuing your journey. Travel south through verdant countryside before pulling in to Marseilles. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend your evening strolling through the Vieux Port (Old Harbour), the perfect spot for people watching, sightseeing and indulging in some French cuisine by the water (Overnight in Marseilles).

DAY 2 - MARSEILLES
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing today, visiting famous monuments and soaking up the atmosphere of one of the South of France's most interesting gems. Why not pay a visit to the famed Notre Dame de la Garde church, which sits high over the city. Historically, fishermen would have their boats blessed here, and models are still suspended. Foodies will love a trip to Le Course Julien and La Plaine. Fountains, boutiques and lovely cafés embroider the areas, and the market held on Thursday and Saturday mornings is perfect for stocking up on treats. (Overnight in Marseilles). B

DAY 3 - MARSEILLES TO LONDON
Check out of your hotel after breakfast this morning and head back through France to London. B
