DAY 1 - LONDON TO WARSAW
Fly into Warsaw this morning and, on arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend the next few days exploring Poland's rapidly changing capital. The Old Town is a major attraction, as it is one of the most historic sites in the city and contains some interesting architecture. During the summer months, the cobbled streets are filled by café tables and street performers, which gives the Old Town a buzzing, vibrant atmosphere. (Overnight in Warsaw) B

DAY 2 - WARSAW
Since the fall of communism in Poland, Warsaw has prospered thanks to a major drive to improve its tourist sights. The Old Town with its imposing Royal Palace has been beautifully restored to its former grandeur. Away from the Old Town, the city is in a permanent state of modernisation which gives Warsaw a contemporary edge. (Overnight in Warsaw) B

DAY 3 - GDANSK
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before travelling in first class to Gdansk. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. You have the next two days to discover Gdansk at your leisure. Lying on the Baltic Coast, Gdansk is Poland's principal seaport with a colourful history of German rule, Polish rule and more recently, extensive self-rule. Go for a stroll along beautiful ul Dluga (Long Street), admire the elegant buildings of the Main Town district, or watch the world go by from one of the many cafes which line the city's narrow side streets. DAY 4 - GDANSK
Spend a second day in this beautiful city. Explore the reconstructed Burgher houses and the charming harbour situated in the Old Town before visiting St Mary's Church (the largest brick built church in the world). Visit the Neptune Fountain which is a symbol of the city's maritime history, or for something different, take a river cruise to Westerplatte which is where World War II broke out on 1 September 1939. After a busy day sightseeing, relax in one of the many restaurants which Gdansk has to offer. (Overnight in Gdansk) B

DAY 5 - POZNAN
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before travelling in first class to Poznan. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for an overnight stay. You have the rest of the day to explore all Poznan has to offer. Visit the Gothic Church of St John of Jerusalem, which dates back to the 12th century, or why not visit one of the many museums such as the National Museum or Archaeological Museum. Visit the Ostrów Tumski district which is dominated by Poznan's monumental, double-towered Cathedral, or head to the city's lively Old Town district and visit one of the many restaurants, pubs or bars. DAY 6 - WROCLAW
After breakfast in the hotel, take the train in first class from Poznan to Wroclaw. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend the next few days exploring Poland's fourth-largest city. A visit to Wroclaw would not be the same without taking in the unique Gothic architecture of its magnificent market square (Rynek), which is Poland's second biggest after Krakow. Located next to the market square is Solny Square which is famous for its beautiful flower kiosks which are open day and night. After a busy day in this hidden gem of a city, head to one of the many restaurants dotted around the market square. (Overnight in Wroclaw) B

DAY 7 - WROCLAW
Spend a second day at leisure in Wroclaw. Visit sights including the twin-towered Cathedral of St John the Baptist, the Centennial Hall (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the National Museum and the city's beautiful Botanical Gardens. Take a visit to Wroclaw Zoo which was founded in 1865 and is the oldest zoo in Poland, or watch the world go by from one of the number of cafes and excellent restaurants that the city has to offer. Stroll through Szczytnicki Park, Wroclaw's oldest and largest park, or visit one of the many museums such as the City Dwellers' Art Museum or the Museum of Architecture which is housed in a 16th-century former Bernardine church and monastery. DAY 8 - KRAKOW
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before travelling in first class from Wroclaw to Krakow. On arrival in Krakow, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend the next few days in this enchanting city. Krakow has an array of historical and cultural delights to offer every visitor. Visit the hilltop Wawel Castle or shop for homemade Polish gifts in the magnificent Cloth Hall on the market square. Explore St Mary's Church, adorned with elaborate decoration and an impressive gothic altarpiece by Veit Stoss, or visit the famous Wieliczka Salt Mine, one of the oldest in Europe and operational since the 13th Century. DAY 9 - KRAKOW
Spend the day today gaining fascinating insights into the city's past. Included today is a half-day trip from Krakow to Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, where you will be taken on a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed former Nazi concentration camp complex, learning more about this dark time in history. Back in Krakow, wander through the Old Town area and marvel at its soaring Gothic churches, or relax in one of the many bars, restaurants or cafes which are tucked away down its cellars and narrow alleyways. DAY 10 - KRAKOW TO LONDON
