Trip Overview

Travel on the Eurostar to Paris and then speed through the French countryside down to Strasbourg. Spend two nights exploring this historic city and admire its mixture of German Gothic architecture and French cafe society. Wander along the canals in the Petite France area and spend your evenings enjoying the local cuisine before returning to Paris by TGV and connecting with the Eurostar back to London.

DAY 1 - LONDON TO STRASBOURG

Take the Eurostar from London to Paris and then connect onto a high speed TGV service to Strasbourg. Upon arrival, make your way to the Le Grand hotel Strasbourg and check in for a two night stay.

Freshen up at the hotel and then spend the afternoon getting to know the city's historic centre, known as the Grande Ile, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be sure to take a stroll through the Petite France area, lined with 16th and 17th century timber framed house and picturesque canals. Relax in the evening with a meal at a pavement cafe or restaurant and simply watch the world go by. (Overnight in Strasbourg)

DAY 2 - STRASBOURG

Spend a day at leisure in Strasbourg. Don't miss the striking interior of the 14th century Cathedrale Notre-Dame; illuminated by sunlight that streams through the stain glass windows and at night, the exquisite Gothic facade glows gold. Perhaps visit the museums at the Palais Rohan, watch the boats on the rowing lake at Orangerie Park or take in the panoramic views of the city from the Vauban Dam. (Overnight in Strasbourg) B

DAY 3 - STRASBOURG TO LONDON

Enjoy breakfast in your hotel this morning and then make your way to the train station for the journey back to Paris by TGV. Upon arrival in Paris, perhaps stop for some lunch or connect straight onto a Eurostar service back to London. B
