Daily Itinerary:

DAY 1 – UK TO ROME
Welcome to Rome! Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Come the evening, be sure to visit the Trevi Fountain and throw in a coin or two. The architecture is quite spectacular when lit up at night. (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 2 - ROME
Today after breakfast, explore the heritage of ancient Rome with a fascinating Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. After the tour, take some time to explore more of this iconic city. (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 3 – ROME
Your Imperial Rome tour will take you to the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. Don't forget to have your photo taken with one of the slightly more modern gladiators outside! (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 4 – ROME TO FLORENCE
Travel by train directly to Florence. In the afternoon, experience the incredible Uffizi Gallery during your included tour. Take a stroll across the Ponte Vecchio (the oldest and most famous bridge over the Arno River), admire the spectacular Duomo Cathedral and be sure to enjoy some more fine Italian cuisine. DAY 5 – FLORENCE
Today embark on your secret food tour which starts at 10am and take between 3 and 4 hours. Try delicious food and wine from across Tuscany, but more specifically from the Florentine tradition. You’ll be shown the best shops and restaurants the city has to offer and a guided commentary between each stop. The tour concludes with a tasting of all the best local drinks whilst talking to other participants (Overnight in Florence) B

DAY 6 – FLORENCE
Today is free for you to discover Florence on your own. Check out Piazzale Michelangelo for stunning views of the city. Visit Mercato Centrale for delicious cuisine. Stroll through the Galleria dell’Accademia or wander the Boboli Gardens. (Overnight in Florence) B

DAY 7 – FLORENCE TO LA SPEZIA
Board your train to La Spezia. This town is the perfect base from which to explore the region. The town itself features winding cobblestoned streets with charming trattorias featuring the finest regional cuisine. (Overnight in La Spezia) B

DAY 8 – LA SPEZIA
Use your Cinque Terre Card to discover the stunning hillside towns situated along the rugged coastline of the Cinque Terre by train. The picturesque villages – Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola – each offer their own unique, sun-kissed version of authentic Italian seaside bliss. Start with the 20-minute train ride from La Spezia to Monterosso, the westernmost village known for its lemons, anchovies and a beautiful little stretch of beach. After exploring the town, take the three-minute train ride to Vernazza, the steepest of the villages, and stroll along Via Roma, peeking into the little cafes that line the street. From Vernazza, travel to Manarola for a sunset dinner and unforgettable views. After dinner, take the short train ride back to La Spezia and relax at your hotel after a memorable day. DAY 9 – LA SPEZIA
Enjoy more of the stunning region today at your leisure. Discover the winding streets of La Spezia or head back to the coast for more exploration of the beautiful villages of the Cinque Terre. (Overnight in La Spezia) B

DAY 10 – LA SPEZIA TO SESTRI LEVANTE
Board Trenitalia to Sestri Levante. This lovely little Riviera town extends around two bays, the Bay of Silence and the Bay of Fables (named for Hans Christian Andersen who lived here for a time). Amble around the winding streets, stop for an ice cream or unwind on the wide public beach. (Overnight in Sestri Levante) B

DAY 11 – SESTRI LEVANTE
Take a day trip to the nearby town of Portofino by ferry. Enjoy a scenic cruise across the Gulf of Tigullio to San Fruttuoso. You’ll explore for an hour in Fruttuoso then head to Portofino. This historic fishing village is a picturesque place to spend the day and can be reached by train or by boat during the summer. Lunch at one of the harborside restaurants or wander along the village's tiny streets to discover hidden gems including art galleries. (Overnight in Sestri Levante) B

DAY 12 - SESTRI LEVANTE TO TURIN
Take Trenitalia to Turin, famous for its beautiful baroque architecture and delicious cuisine. Explore on your own today. We recommend strolling Turin’s boulevards and squares such as Piazza Castello and Piazza San Carlo. (Overnight in Turin) B

DAY 13 – TURIN
Spend today at your leisure. Interested in seeing museums? The Museo Egizio is a great institution to peruse an incredible collection of Egyptian treasures and Castello di Rivoli will introduce you to more contemporary pieces. Make a visit to the Reggia di Venaria Reale palace to see one of the largest royal residences in the world. (Overnight in Turin) B

DAY 14 – TURIN TO VENICE
Board Trenitalia to magical Venice. On arrival at Santa Lucia station, you’ll quickly realize just how wonderful this corner of the world is. Settle in at your hotel then step out and start discovering the sprawling canals and local charms on your own. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 15 – VENICE
Enjoy your included walking tour of Venice this morning, which features the stately Doge’s Palace and the Golden Basilica. Visit vibrant St. Mark’s square and soak up the lively atmosphere or take a gondola ride past the Bridge of Sighs before finding a popular waterfront restaurant for a traditional meal. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 16 – VENICE
Visit the culture rich islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. Murano is perfect for lovers of art, history, fine craftsmanship, and beautiful views. You’ll also see the famous glassblowers here. In Burano, check out Piazza Galuppi, which is packed with restaurants and local specialties. In Torcello, we recommend crossing the Ponte del Diavolo in Torcello, then visiting the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and Museum of Torcello. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 17 – DEPART VENICE
Transfer To the airport for your flight back to the UK.
