DAY 1 - LONDON TO GHENT
Travel by Eurostar to Brussels and connect onto a local train bound for Ghent. On arrival in Ghent, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Once settled at the hotel, begin your exploration of this university city. Medieval cobbled streets and the picturesque river Lei are the centre piece. (Overnight in Ghent)

DAY 2 - GHENT
After breakfast this morning, spend the day getting to know Ghent! The vibrant, local atmosphere of this truly beautiful city ensures it is a lot more than just a tourist destination. In fact, Ghent was once the biggest city in western Europe thanks to its thriving cloth trade. Today, St Bavo's Cathedral delights visitors with its "The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb" altarpiece, and the Gravensteen castle, including the Courtyard, Count's residence and dungeon, are open for tours. In the evening, dive in to the small streets and back alleys around Zeuterzusterstraat for some of the best dining in Belgium. (Overnight in Ghent) B

DAY 3 - GHENT TO BRUSSELS
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before you take the short train journey from Ghent back to Brussels. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. Brussels is best known for its beer and chocolate but there is so much else to see and do whilst in this medieval city. Art lovers can view a range of modern and contemporary art at two of the city's museum, the Classic Art Museum and the Museum of Modern Art or simply relax at the Parc du Cinquantenaire and admire the striking Triumphal Arch that is home to the Musee du Cinquantenaire. DAY 4 - BRUSSELS
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and then perhaps visit the Magritte Museum, home to over 200 original paintings, drawings and sculptures by the surrealist artist René Magritte. Why not enjoy some of the hundreds of varieties of Belgian beer, sample Belgian chocolates or treat yourself to a hot Belgian waffle! (Overnight in Brussels) B

DAY 5 - BRUSSELS TO LONDON
Make your way back to the train station this morning and take the Eurostar back to London. B
