DAY 1 - AMSTERDAM
Catch the Eurostar from London to Brussels today, connecting in Brussels and speeding to Amsterdam. On arrival, check in at the Inntel Amsterdam Centre for a two night stay. Amsterdam is crammed with culture, history, stunning architecture, canals and bicycles! The city also boasts a wide range of museums on subjects as diverse as vodka and culture in the Tropics! Visit the Anne Frank House for a sobering insight into a life in hiding during the Nazi occupation, or see the world's largest collection of Van Gogh paintings and drawings at the Van Gogh Museum. (Overnight in Amsterdam).

DAY 2 - AMSTERDAM
Spend a full day exploring the Dutch capital today. Visit the Bloemenmarkt - the world's only floating flower market - and discover the colourful sights and wonderful smells of the city's southern canal belt. If the weather is fine, stroll through the vast Vondelpark - the perfect spot for people watching! Later, why not take an evening cruise through Amsterdam's famous canals or enjoy a meal in the lively Leidseplein which is also home to the city's principal theatre.(Overnight in Amsterdam). B

DAY 3 - AMSTERDAM TO PARIS
After breakfast this morning, take a high speed Thalys train from Amsterdam's central station to Paris Gare du Nord. On arrival, check in at the Eiffel Saint Charles for a two night stay. Paris is the world's most visited city and it's easy to see why. From the bohemian hilltop district of Montmartre, to the UNESCO World Heritage listed banks of the Seine, this city is vibrant, chic and endlessly photogenic. Browse the upmarket stores along the Champs Élysées and the Rue du Rivoli, take in the views from the landmark Sacré Coeur Basilica or enjoy a cruise by bateau mouche along the river. DAY 4 - PARIS
Spend a full day enjoying the delights of Paris. Indulge your arty side with a visit to the Monal Lisa at the world-famous Louvre museum, and don't miss a visit to the Musée d'Orsay gallery with its fantastic collection of impressionist masterpieces. For an iconic experience, ride to the top of the iconic Eiffel Tower, though the views from the top of the Montparnasse Tower include the famous Tour Eiffel itself. Come the evening, relax with steak frites and vin rouge in a traditional Parisian brasserie or take in a fantastic show at the Moulin Rouge! (Overnight in Paris) B

DAY 5 - PARIS TO ZURICH
Head from Paris to Zurich aboard a high speed train today. The train leaves from the wonderful Gare de Lyon, which is also home to the famous ‘Train Bleu' restaurant - the perfect place to indulge in unbeatable fine dining and opulent surroundings while you wait for your train. On arrival in Zurich, check in at the Du Theatre Zurich for a two night stay. Zurich is a cultural, cosmopolitan destination situated on the banks of the River Limmat. Spend the rest of the day acquainting yourself with the fairytale charm and cosmopolitan vibrancy of this world hub. (Overnight in Zurich) B

DAY 6 - ZURICH
Enjoy a full day exploring Zurich today. Why not take a walk around the historic Old Town district or enjoy a cruise on Lake Zürich? Also not to be missed are Zurich's world class museums including the Swiss National Museum, offering an insight into the history of this multi-faceted country or the Kunsthaus, with its impressive art collection. For retail therapy, the Bahnhofstrasse is said to be Zurich's answer to the Champs Élysées. (Overnight in Zurich) B

DAY 7 - ZURICH TO VENICE
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your hotel and then head back to the main station for the wonderful train journey down to Venice. Ride the rails around Lake Lucerne and then through the dramatic scenery of the Swiss Alps, rolling past dramatic Alpine peaks, lush meadows and chocolate box villages, before crossing the border into Italy and continuing down to Milan. Here, change on to a high speed Italian service to Venice. Cross the azure lagoon before arriving in Venice Santa Lucia Station. Check in at the Ai Mori D'Oriente Venice for a two night stay. DAY 8 - VENICE
Spend a full day discovering the sights of Venice. Lose yourself in the little narrow streets andcampos or perhaps let a gondolier take you on a cruise through the network of canals. Don't miss the opulent St Mark's Basilica or the historic Doge's Palace. For spectacular views it's worth climbing up the winding steps to the top of the Campanile (Bell Tower) to see Venice spread out before you. Alternatively, take a boat out to the colorful islands of Murano and Burano. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 9 - VENICE TO ROME
Leave Venice this morning for your last rail journey south to Rome. On arrival, check in at the Morgana Rome for a two night stay. Explore the Eternal City at your own pace. From the Colosseum to the Spanish Steps, there's a famous landmark around every corner! Come the evening, be sure to visit the luminous Trevi Fountain, exquisitely designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi. Treat yourself to a gelato from one of the surrounding cafés and be sure to throw a coin over your shoulder to ensure your return to Rome one day! (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 10 - ROME
Spend today unearthing Rome's seemingly tangible history. Allow plenty of time to visit the Vatican City, officially the world's smallest country. Here you can see inside the magnificent St Peter's Cathedral and visit the fascinating Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel, with its famous ceiling. Elsewhere, why not take a tour of the ancient Roman Forum and Colosseum or enjoy an Italian gelato in the breathtaking Piazza Navona? (Overnight in Rome) B

DAY 11 - DEPART ROME
Check out of your hotel this morning and head to the airport to catch your flight back to London. If you've time to continue through Italy, perhaps to the Italian Riviera or to the Renaissance city of Florence, just ask your Railbookers Travel Consultant for suggestions. B

Swiss Night Am Kunsthaus Zurich

The Swiss Night am Kunsthaus is located within a quiet residential district and is close to the Kunthaus Museum and the Opera of Zurich. Lake Zurich is just a short walk away and all 46 bedroms are light, airy and spacious. The hotel also benefits from a fitness centre.

Du Theatre Zurich

The Hotel du Théâtre in Zurich is a historic hotel which was a theatre during the 1950s.
