DAY 1 –  LONDON TO LAUSANNE
Today, you will take the Eurostar from London to Paris, and then you will hop aboard the high-speed train from Paris to Lausanne. On arrival, make your way to your hotel and check in for an overnight stay. If time allows, and you aren’t too tired from your journey, take a lakeside stroll and explore Switzerland’s fourth largest city. (Overnight in Lausanne)

DAY 2 – LAUSANNE TO VENICE
Today, you will board the train for a scenic journey from Lausanne to Venice. Soak in the stunning alpine scenery as the train makes its way through the snow-capped Alps of Switzerland to the stunning coastal city of Venice. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 3 – VENICE
Start today with a short walking tour with a local guide for some stories of the city's labyrinthine streets and campos (squares), then enjoy a gondola ride down the Grand Canal.  Soak up the vibrant atmosphere in St. Mark’s Square, while marvelling at the beautiful mosaics that adorn the Basilica and maybe visit the Doge's Palace, with its origins dating back to the 14th century. It is advisable to take a tour of this important Venetian landmark to fully understand its extensive history. (Overnight in Venice) B

DAY 4 – VENICE TO VIENNA
After breakfast this morning, you will board the train to Vienna. Sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular mountain landscape as you cruise along the scenic Semmering Railway on your way to Austria’s capital. (Overnight in Vienna) B

DAY 5 – VIENNA
 Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and begin another day of exploration. Use your one-day city pass to see the top attractions at your own pace.  Take a ride on the Riesenrad, Vienna’s 65 metre ferris wheel for fantastic views of the city. If art is what you crave, venture over to the MuseumsQuartier, where you will find a cluster of classic and contemporary exhibition spaces. Don’t forget to grab a cup of delicious Viennese coffee. DAY 6 – VIENNA TO LONDON
After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and make your way to the airport for your flight back to the UK. If you wish to return to the UK via sleeper train through Cologne and on through Brussels, one of our Rail Experts would be happy to help you with all the details. B
