DAY 1 - LONDON TO VIENNA

Take the Eurostar from London to Brussels this morning and connect on to a high-speed service to Cologne. Spend an afternoon exploring the historic Rhineland city before heading back to the station for your sleeper train to Vienna. Settle into your private compartment for the night. Snacks and drinks are available from the car attendant during your journey, or you can stock up on sustenance whilst in Cologne and have a sleeper train picnic on board! (Overnight on the sleeper train)

DAY 2 –VIENNA

On arrival in Vienna the following day, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay then begin to enjoy the city with your included sightseeing pass. Perhaps spend the afternoon indulging in some delicious Sachertorte or head to the Gothic St Stephen's Cathedral, one of the city's most famous landmarks. (Overnight in Vienna) B

DAY 3 –VIENNA

After breakfast this morning, spend the day exploring beautiful Vienna. Much of Viennese cultural life can be found in the Museumsquartier, home to an array of museums, cafes and restaurants within a former imperial stable building. Why not enjoy an operatic experience to remember at the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), or view the works of famous painters such as Rubens and Raphael at the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Fine Arts). Take in a performance at the Spanish Riding School - one of the oldest riding schools in the world and home to the famous Lipizzaner horses. Vienna also sits on the banks of the Danube, the perfect spot for a scenic boat cruise! And if you are interested in history, follow in the footsteps of the Habsburgs with a visit to the baroque Belvedere and Schönbrunn Palaces. (Overnight in Vienna) B

DAY 4 - VIENNA TO BUDAPEST

Enjoy a morning at leisure in Vienna, then continue your journey south east on the high speed “Railjet” route, crossing the border into Hungary and finally arriving in Budapest. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay then begin exploring this great city with your included sightseeing pass. (Overnight in Budapest) B

DAY 5 - BUDAPEST

Explore the “City of Spas” at your leisure. Why not spend a relaxing day at the Szechenyi Baths, 15 indoor and three outdoor pools are kept at a constant warm temperature to enjoy year-round. Take in the views from the Szechenyi Chain Bridge or perhaps learn about the harrowing history of the House of Terror, now a museum. Marvel at the magnificent frescoes at the Inner City Franciscan Church or maybe view the Roman remains at the Aquincum Museum. Why not explore Budapest's fascinating underground caves or perhaps take the Funicular up to the top of Castle Hill for fantastic views of the River Danube and the city. After a busy day sightseeing, treat yourself to a local beer and some fine food in the Old Town. (Overnight in Budapest) B

DAY 6 – DEPART BUDAPEST

Check out of your hotel after breakfast today and make your way to the airport in Budapest for your flight back to the UK. Prefer to travel home by train? Ask one of our Rail Specialists about taking the sleeper train overnight to Cologne and then back to London through Brussels for your journey home. B
