Spend three nights in Cologne with time to discover the city's famous cathedral and explore along the Rhine, and then take the train through Germany to Berlin. DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN COLOGNE
Welcome to Cologne! Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for a three-night stay. Settle in to your hotel and then head out for your first evening in this historic Rhineland city. Cologne is a cosmopolitan city, with a sky line dominated by the twin spires of its famous Gothic Dom Cathedral. You can climb up inside one of the spires if you wish to take in spectacular evening views of the city. (Overnight in Cologne)

 DAY 2 - COLOGNE
Explore the best of Cologne on your narrated, hop-on hop-off, double-decker bus tour. Visit many of Cologne’s top attractions — like Cologne Cathedral and Cologne City Hall, plus visit the Old Town district, bustling Roncalliplatz, the historic Alter Markt square and much more. Select the 1-day pass, then board at any of the 16 stops and get to know this landmark of High Gothic architecture in customized fashion. A one-hour Rhine River sightseeing cruise is also included. DAY 3 – COLOGNE
Enjoy another full day in Cologne at your leisure. Chocoholics will want to spend some time at the famous Chocolate Museum on the Rheinau Peninsula, complete with a chocolate fountain and tasting opportunities. In the evening, don't miss out on a trip to a traditional kölsch restaurant or a visit to one of the many Brauhäuser (pubs/breweries) that surround the cathedral. (Overnight in Cologne) B

 DAY 4 - COLOGNE TO BERLIN
Discover the city of Potsdam, once home to Prussian kings and the German Kaiser, on a 6-hour walking tour from Berlin. See how royalty left its mark on the city's streets as you wander past Cecilienhof Palace, King Frederick William II’s Marble Palace, the Dutch quarter, and the UNESCO-listed Sanssouci Palace and Gardens. Stop for lunch (own expense) in the city centre, learn the regal history behind each site that you pass, and return to your original departure point in Berlin when your tour concludes.  DAY 5 - BERLIN
Enjoy a full day exploring the German capital. Don’t miss the chance to visit the oldest zoo in Germany, Berlin Zoo, dating back to 1844! There is a large aviary showcasing over 500 species of birds as well as an aquarium featuring over 9000 fish, reptiles and insects. At the heart of new Berlin, you will find the vibrant public square of Potsdamer Platz filled with fine examples of the city’s modern architecture as well as shopping centres, cinemas, bars, a theatre and a casino.  DAY 6 – BERLIN
After breakfast this morning, enjoy another full day exploring this vibrant city! Perhaps visit the Brandenburg Gate, from which is just a short walk to the Reichstag Parliament building, where the views over the city are unparalleled! Be sure to immerse yourself in the city's history by marvelling at the colourful fragments of the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery, and when it comes to cuisine - you can't beat snacking on Currywurst - a dish invented in Berlin itself!  DAY 7 – DEPART BERLIN

InterCityHotel Berlin Ostbahnhof

The Spree River is within easy walking distance (approx. 5 min), and the Mercedes-Benz Arena is only about 9 minutes away.
