Annecy
Known as ‘The Pearl of the Alps’ Annecy sits on the northern tip of Lake Annecy, close to the French/Swiss border. The town is a maze of cobbled streets, winding canals and beautifully coloured houses, whilst the surrounding skyline is dominated by stunning alpine peaks well the medieval Chateau d’Annecy – once home to the Count of Geneva. The lake which is fed by mountain springs and renowned for its clean water, offers numerous scenic trails around the shores as well as pleasure boats and swimming opportunities in the summer months.
